Team Australia haven't had the best start in the World Cup 2023, but they have managed to pick themselves up and made a comeback two in a row. The Australian openers and Adam Zampa have stepped up with their brilliant performances and helped them seal two victories in a row.

Adam Zampa has picked up eight wickets in the last two games, which were against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. He is Australia's key player in the Indian conditions and his performances have proved the same on various occasions. In the game against Sri Lanka, Zampa picked up four wickets despite struggling with back problems.

Also, Right before the World Cup, Adam Zampa accidentally smashed his head on the wall, which is why he had bruises on his face while playing the first game. Now after a few games, he has opened up about that incident.

Here's what Adam Zampa said about how he got bruises

“I banged my head on the pool wall and feared losing a few teeth, luckily, I didn’t. There was blood everywhere. I didn’t talk to anyone about it and thought about getting away with it, but there was a big scar.”

Zampa was scared about this accident and did not talk to anyone about it. He also mentioned that before the World Cup, the coach told him that Ashton Agar is ruled out and he would be the main spinner along with Glenn Maxwell and he was like, Okay, when have I missed games for Australia as he was keen on playing every single game of this tournament.

The Australian team have won two of their four games and would look to continue the inning momentum as they will be locking horns with the Netherlands in a few hours from now.
