Yashasvi Jaiswal is the name that has been collecting all the praise after his heroic 175-run knock against the West Indies. Jaiswal was on an impressive run after his massive 173* run stand at the end of Day 1, but his innings came to a premature end after a horrible miscommunication with skipper Shubman Gill early on Day 2.

Though it had Jaiswal pulling his own hair with netizens and the cricket community divided on whom to blame for the run out, India legend Sunil Gavaskar found himself offering solid advice to the 23-year-old at the post-match presentation.

Gavaskar gives unique advice to Jaiswal

After the Stumps on Day 2, Jaiswal came to have a conversation with the host broadcaster, and Sunil Gavaskar, who was present at the event, couldn't stop himself from giving simple advice to Jaiswal after his heroic knock.

As the chat with Yashasvi Jaiswal was coming to a close, with Harsha Bhogle drawing an end to the conclusion, Gavaskar jumped mid-talk and added his piece of advice for the young lad.

“I just want to add to that. Well done, keep it up. Keep getting the hundreds. Daddy hundreds, but because I am a grandfather, I'll say keep getting granddaddy hundreds,” said Gavaskar during the post-match conversation.

Jaiswal's ton helped India gain edge

Nevertheless, Jaiswal missed the opportunity to score a 'granddaddy' double hundred in the 2nd Test, which could have been his third double ton in Tests. Yet, Jaiswal's knock, which was laced with 22 boundaries, will be one to cherish in a match where the Men in Blue are dominating the West Indies.

West Indies could not avoid the follow-on as India bundled them up in the 1st innings for 248 runs. Coming in to secure a lead, WI is already one wicket down in 13 overs as Kuldeep Yadav and Siraj dominate Day 3 at Delhi.
