A player who has taken the cricketing world by storm is New Zealand's Rachin Ravindra. The young all-rounder has had a stellar ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, having 290 runs, including two fifties and one century, for the BlackCaps.

Against India at Dharamsala last evening, Ravindra showcased composure and positive intent during his mammoth partnership with Daryl Mitchell, holing his side out of a ditch and slamming a valiant 75.

Following his performance against India, former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri compared the all-rounder with white-ball legend Yuvraj Singh. However, former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh disagreed with Shastri and explained why Ravindra and Yuvraj are different.

Speaking to Star Sports, Harbhajan stated while Ravindra is a future star, his batting is not comparable to Yuvraj.

Here's what Harbhajan said

"He plays proper cricketing shots. Yuvraj Singh's talent for these shots was amazing. But Rachin Ravindra doesn't have the flow that Yuvraj Singh had. Yuvraj had a different flow, a different power. Rachin Ravindra doesn't possess the same power, but he exhibits that form. He is a delight to watch and when you observe him play, you can't imagine him getting out. Rachin Ravindra handles all types of bowling very well, whether it's fast bowling or spin."

The 23-year-old started the World Cup with a magnificent maiden ODI ton against England in the tournament opener and then has managed two notch half-centuries against Netherlands and India, respectively.
