In the ongoing Test series against England, Team India had the biggest heartbreak in the recently concluded Lord’s Test. While chasing a modest total, the batting lineup crumbled under pressure and faced a devastating 22-run defeat in the clash.

Despite the heartbreaking defeat, Ravindra Jadeja’s effort was the silver lining. The former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly praised him, calling Jadeja a truly ‘special player’.

Ganguly Applauds Jadeja’s Brilliance

Over the years, Ravindra Jadeja has been a standout all-rounder in Team India’s lineup, and his excellence in the ongoing England tour is turning heads. With four back-to-back fifties, he’s been a rock in the batting order, but his latest heroic knock truly left the world in awe.

As India crumbled against England in the fourth innings, Jadeja stood firm, crafting a vital unbeaten 61 and forging key stands with Bumrah and Siraj. After the stellar show, former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly praised him. As quoted by News18, he hailed Jadeja’s standout show in England, highlighting his vital contribution to the side.

“Jadeja has been exceptional, he is going to continue to play for India as long as he bats and performs like this. He has been around for a long time. He has played some 80 Tests and more than 200 ODIs,” he said.

All-Round Excellence Makes Jadeja A ‘Special Player’

Just not with the bat, Ravindra Jadeja stunned the world with his all-round abilities on English soil. Snagging three wickets in as many matches and pulling off some sharp fielding efforts, Jadeja proved why he’s a game-changer. While praising Jadeja’s brilliance, Sourav Ganguly praised him as a ‘special player’.

“You can see him batting, bowling, and fielding. He is a special player, and his batting has improved over the years with experience. He is a special player and a very important part of this team,” he added.

In a tough situation at the iconic Lord’s, the cricket world witnessed Jadeja’s unreal grit. After Rishabh Pant’s dismissal, the Indian all-rounder joined Rahul and tightened his grip after Rahul’s dismissal. Despite his valiant fight, Team India narrowly fell short, suffering a heartbreaking 22-run loss.
