'Has Been One Of My Favourite...,' Pat Cummins After Winning The WTC Final

Pat Cummins has joined an illustrious list of Australian skippers who have won ICC trophies for Australia.  Test cricket is the supreme format of cricket and Australia have once again shown why they are the best team in the world. They dominated India right from day 1 with India always behind the 8-ball and have notched up a huge 209-run win in the end.

Pat Cummins naturally was pretty pleased with his team's effort and applauded his teammates for a strong performance. He added that they were looking to bowl first but credited Steven Smith and Travis Head for the partnership they got on day 1. He also added that Head has been brilliant for them since the Ashes.

"Yeah, we have made the most of it. We were about to bowl. The way Smithy and Travis put up the partnership, that was a thing of comfort.He has been brilliant, starting off with the campaign, with the Ashes. He was fantastic. We left Day 1 like we were on top of the game. The way we countered, we played really well. We were in full control for the most part of it," 

Cummins also showered praises for his fellow paceman, Scott Boland and mentioned that Boland has been his favourite player. Australian skipper also added that they came into WTC Final with different preparation and they will savour the win for few days and turn their attention to Ashes.

"Yeah, fantastic, he [Scott Boland] has been one of my favourite players, and he has been so. He came in and got us with a key breakthrough. We came into this, with a different preparation. We will savour it for a few days before we turn our attention to other, "

He also added that Test cricket is their favourite format and they all have grew up watching Test cricket. Cummins also stated that the Australian team loves playing Test cricket and focussing on Test cricket.

"It's huge. This is our favorite format. We grew up watching this, Test cricket. We are satisfied and we love it. We love playing and turn up our focus on this."

Australia are now the only team to win all four ICC trophies and would be playing next up against England in Ashes that starts of 16th of June.
