The much-awaited India-Australia WTC Final has ended with Australia becoming the only team in the history of cricket to win all four ICC trophies. They have beaten India by 209 runs and humiliated India on day 5 by taking all 7 wickets in morning session itself.

Steve Smith who scored a century in the first innings of the Test match, was naturally very pleased with the win. Talking after the win, Smith said that it was great to be play the final of WTC with two great teams going against each other.

Smith added that they were in control from the first day onwards and he had good partnership with Travis Head who scored 163 in the first innings. He mentioned that they allowed India to comeback in patches but they were largely in control.

"Great to be in this final. Two good teams against each other. First day onwards we were in control and that partnership with Travis helped. We allowed India to come back in patches, but largely we were in control,"

Smith also talked about this breathtaking catch to get rid of Virat Kohli and said that it was an important catch and both Kohli's and Jadeja's wicket were crucial. He stated that they deserved to win and and signed off by saying that he is proud of the bowling effort of the guys.

"That catch was important for us. Virat was important and Jadeja as well. That got us going. We deserved the win and got the win in the end. Happy with the bowling effort that the guys threw in there."

Australia dominated the game right from the day 1 and Indian bowlers gave away way too many runs in the first innings. Also, Australian bowlers were brilliant and India were bundled out for cheap scores in both the innings of the Test match which eventually led to Australia hammering India in this WTC Final.
