'Hardik Is Dealing With Mental Health Issues' - Uthappa Reveals Hardik Pandya's Pain

Hardik Pandya has been the centre of criticism since he has taken over MI leadership from Rohit Sharma, and has been booed in almost every match he has played in IPL 2024. The online trolling and abuses against Hardik has also been quite brutal and it has affected his on-field performances which has not helped his cause either.

There have been some people though, who have come out in support of Hardik Pandya citing that such level of criticism against any player is not fair. Now, Robin Uthappa has also come out in support of Hardik and has revealed that the MI all-rounder is dealing with mental issues.

The former Indian cricketer also stated that Hardik is hurting a lot with all the mocking and trolling. He also mentioned that it is not right to treat any human being the way Hardik is being treated and it is not a healthy sign for any society that someone is treated so badly, and everyone is okay with it.

"This guy knows... he's well aware of the mocking, trolling, the memes about his fitness. You don't think it hurts him? It hurts any human being. How many people know the reality of it? Hardik is dealing with mental health issues, for sure. We, as people, I understand are emotional. But it is not right to impose this kind of treatment on any human being. It is unbecoming as a society for us to do that to someone and be okay with it. We should not be laughing on it, should not be forwarding it.”

Mumbai Indians will be next playing Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur on 22nd of April and it would be interesting to see how Hardik Pandya performs against the table-toppers.
