In the 12th match of the IPL 2024, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) won the toss against Gujarat Titans in a critical encounter at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. However, on his return to Ahmedabad, skipper Pat Cummins recalled his font memories of the venue made a few months ago with Australia during World Cup 2023 final.

While speaking at the toss, Cummins mocked the Indian fans by scratching their wounds, saying we have got wonderful memories of Ahmedabad.

"We are gonna bat first. Looks a good wicket and it's very warm. So, happy to bat first. Yeah, have got wonderful memories here. It was a packed-stadium last time I played here and good to be back here. It's about the freedom. We know what we are capable of and trying to have a crack at it and see how it goes today. We are going with the same team," Cummins said at toss before GT vs SRH clash.

The Sunrisers are playing the match against Titans with high confidence after securing a victory against Mumbai Indians of the season. Meanwhile, before the start of play against GT, SRH faced a massive setback with Wanindu Hasaranga ruled out of the IPL 2024 due to an injury. 

On the other hand, newly appointed skipper Shubman Gill of Gujarat Titans started the tournament with a win at home against Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, slipped in Chennai in their previous game.

At the time of publishing, the power-packed batting of SRH have got to the total of 162/7 against the Titans at Ahmedabad on Saturday afternoon.
