'Give Me What You Are Giving...': Mohammad Asif Demands Rs. 45 Lakhs From PCB

Former Pakistan pacer, Mohammad Asif, once hailed as one of the most talented swing bowlers, had his international career cut short following the 2010 spot-fixing scandal.

Asif revealed insight into backroom negotiations with PCB

Asif, alongside fellow teammates Salman Butt and Mohammad Amir, were found guilty of spot-fixing during Pakistan's tour of England. This revelation led to bans and jail sentences for the players involved. While the pacer made headlines then, he is once again in the news, however, this time for his shocking statements off the field.

In a recent revelation, Asif has shared details of an offer extended to him by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to take up a position at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Asif claimed that while the PCB's offer was generous, it paled in comparison to what he was earning overseas.

“The PCB offered me a post in the National Cricket Academy for 11 Lakh a month. I told them I earned 11 Lakh a week in the USA," said Mohammad Asif.

Further driving his point home, Asif added that he had asked the board to match what they were giving former Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur, which he quoted to be around 45 Lakh a month. "Give me what they are giving Mickey Arthur," he demanded.

The PCB is yet to make an official comment on Asif's remarks. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the days to come, especially considering the spotlight on player salaries and financial transparency in cricket.
