Frustration toh nahi tha because I was playing IPL. The major focus was to win the IPL and thankfully I won it. I personally felt I didn't get the recognition I wanted to winning the IPL but at the end of the long as you have self integrity and you keep doing the right things when no one is watching, that is more important and that is what I kept doing.

Now, as he takes charge of Punjab Kings in IPL 2025, Shreyas Iyer will be eager to prove his leadership once again and earn the recognition he feels he deserves.

Shreyas Iyer’s Breakthrough Champions Trophy 2025

It is important to note that Shreyas Iyer silenced critics with his consistent performances in the Champions Trophy 2025. In five matches, he made 243 runs, including a crucial 79 against New Zealand in Group A fixture.
