'Easy To Just Sit And Think' - LSG's Assistant Coach On KL Rahul's Performance In IPL 2024

KL Rahul, the LSG skipper has been one of the most consistent batters in IPL over the years, but in IPL 2024, he has not been able to deliver to his standards. There has been lot of talk about his strike rate and in a bid to up the ante in the Powerplay, he ended up losing his wicket early in many games.

However, on paper his stats are not that bad and he has scored 465 runs in 13 innings with an average of 35.77 with at a strike rate of 136.36 with three fifties in it. 

Now, the LSG assistant coach has also come up in support of the captain and stated that he has delivered some good performances in the season and added that he had to rebuild lot of times as they have lost wickets in the Powerplay and that has not allowed him to play his natural game.

"He's had some great performances over the tournament. He's had to rebuild a lot of the times. We've lost wickets around him. We haven't allowed him to play his natural game"

Klusener stated that it is easy to just sit and think, but if the circumstances are considered, he his numbers are decent.

“It's easy to just sit and think, ‘oh, well, he hasn't had a great tournament'. But if you look at his numbers, they're actually not bad at all, considering the circumstances that he's had to bat."

LSG will play their final league game of IPL 2024 against Mumbai Indians on 17th of May at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.
