'Begaani Shadi Mein..,' Irfan Pathan Takes Dig At Pakistan Fans After India Loss

Former India allrounder Irfan Pathan has been posting cryptic tweets recently. In his most recent cryptic tweet, he has taken a dig at Pakistan cricket fans.

While Pathan did not directly mention anyone, it has been widely assumed that he was taking a dig at Pakistanis who were celebrating India's 2-3 T20I series loss to West Indies.

India, who were on a month-long tour of the Caribbean, won the Test and ODI series, but narrowly missed out on winning the series in the shortest format. They lost the first two T20Is, bounced back to win the next two, but lost the decider. This was West Indies' first series win over India since 2007.

A few fans from Pakistan rejoined in India's loss, after which Pathan wrote on his X account: "Begaani Shadi mein Abdulla deewana… #sunday #padosi."

This was not the first time Pathan, one of the best pacers to have played for India, took a dig at the neighbours. After India lost to Australia in the final of the World Test Championship last month, he wrote on X - "Suddenly all the padosis are entering my timeline with happiness cos Team India lost the WTC final. I was so right about them."

Post retirement, Pathan has been actively working in the role of a commentator, mostly for Star Sports. India, meanwhile, will next be seen in action in a limited-overs series against Ireland, and then in the Asia Cup.
