Hardik Pandya is undoubtedly one of the most valuable all-rounders in the world of Cricket. He made a strong impression in the Indian Premier League and quickly became a vital player in the Indian National team. Pandya won the IPL 2022 as the captain of the franchise and then guided the team to the final in the previous season.

Baroda Boy is known for his ability to destroy any bowling attack at will and has made a name for himself as one of the best finishers in world cricket. He is more than handy with the ball as well, his medium pace has come to India’s rescue a lot of times. 

Hardik began his IPL career with the Mumbai Indians in 2015 and has scored 1476 runs for the franchise and taken 42 wickets. Signed as an uncapped player for INR 10 lakh, Pandya became an integral part of the team and was part of MI's title-winning sides in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020.

5.  91 off 34 balls vs KKR In 2019

Hardik Pandya and Mumbai Indians faced an uphill task as they were left with 233 to chase following an Andre Russell assault. Batting first, KKR scored 232/2, with notable contributions from Gill, Chris Lynn, and Andre Russell. In the chase, Mumbai was reduced to 58-4 in the ninth over. This was when Hardik stepped up and smashed six boundaries and nine sixes, amassing 91 runs off just 34 balls before getting dismissed in the 18th over and Mumbai lost the game by 34 runs. 

This stunning exhibition of power-hitting that is still in the minds of all fans who witnessed it.Hardik Pandya played perhaps his finest IPL innings on 28 April, 2019, against KKR at the Eden Gardens.

4.  61 (31)* vs KKR in 2015

Mumbai Indians was in a lot of trouble at 79/4 in 11.4 overs on a challenging Wankhede Stadium pitch.  Hardik Pandya in his debut IPL season entered the pitch as a saviour and excelled as he smashed outstanding 61* runs off 31 balls showcasing his brilliance as a batter.

His innings displayed eight fours and two sixes at a strike-rate of 196.77. He took MI to 171/4 in 20 overs even as Kieron Pollard struggled to 33* runs off 38 balls. That was the Hardik's first IPL fifty as the Mumbai Indians had a total to defend.That victory secured a playoff spot as Hardik was named player of the match for the second time that season.

3. 21 (8)* vs Chennai Super Kings in 2015

The match-winning 8-ball 21 runs knock at the internationally acclaimed glamorous event gained him fame and lauds and also boosted his confidence. Back in 2015, young Hardik Pandya turned up for Mumbai Indians and made his mark on mainstream cricket fans. Mumbai Indians were at the jaws of defeat with half the side back in the pavilion against Chennai Super Kings.

Pawan Negi was with the ball who himself wouldn't have dreamt that he would be bowling the 19th over if not for Dhoni's instincts, Hardik Pandya took advantage of the situation and hammered three lusty hits. 

2.  87 (52)* & 1/18 vs Rajasthan Royals in 2022

Skipper Hardik Pandya impressed with another responsible brilliant half-century 87 not out off 52 that helped Gujarat Titans post 192/4 against Rajasthan Royals in Match 24 of IPL 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Apart from Hardik, Abhinav Manohar (43 off 28) and David Miller (31 not out off 14) also made valuable contributions with the bat for Gujarat, who were invited to bat first. 

Pandya truly came alive with a magnificent as well as ferocious knock of unbeaten 87 off 52 balls that took Titans to 192/4. The captain's knock was studded with eight fours and four sixes.Later he bowled clinically 1-18 and also affected a run-out that ended Samson's stay at the crease.

1. Perfect Hardik Show 

Sanju Samson of Rajasthan Royals won a crucial  toss during the final of the Indian Premier League 2022 and opted to bat against Gujarat Titans. Jos Buttler, the tournament’s highest scorer, made only 39 off 35 balls, and skipper Sanju Samson scored 14, before both fell to Pandya in the middle overs. Hardik Pandya picked up three key wickets  as Gujarat Titans restricted Rajasthan Royals to 130-9 in the final of the Indian Premier League.

Hardik was unstoppable, he removed  Shimron Hetmyer in his final over by pocketing a return catch and wheeling away in triumph. He finished with his best IPL figures of 3 for 17 as the Royals only managed 130 in their 20 overs.

Hardik Pandya is one of the best IPL players, having won five trophies with two different franchises and making numerous match-winning contributions.
