The arch-rivals India and Pakistan once again went head-on in the U19 Asia Cup final at the ICC Cricket Academy Stadium in Dubai on Sunday, as they continue their preparations for the upcoming U19 World Cup, starting on January 15.

As the teams collided to reign continental supremacy at the age-group level, Pakistan U19 left India U19 without solutions in the first innings, posting a record score of 347/8 in their 50 overs, creating history in the U19 Asia Cups.

Here's a look at the top-5 highest scores in the U19 Asia Cup finals.

5. Bangladesh vs UAE, 2023 - 282/8

During the 2023 final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium against the hosts UAE, Bangladesh batted first, and opener Ashiqur Rahman Shiblli scored a match-winning 129(14), with 23 fours and a six, alongside Chowdhury Mohammad Rizwan's 60(71) and Ariful Islam's 50(40) to take the first innings total to 282/8 in 50 overs.

The total was way too much for the UAE, and they did not even manage to bat 25 overs and got all out for just 87 runs, as Bangladesh lifted the title with a 195-run win.

4. India vs Pakistan, 2012 - 282/8

During an epic run-chase of 283 runs against the neighbours in Kuala Lumpur in 2012, India lost opener Manan Vohra cheaply, but captain Unmukt Chand and Baba Aparajith combined for a big 2nd wicket stand of 175 runs, where Baba Aparajith scored 90(86), with 12 fours to his name, to put India in a dominant position.

As the match went right down to the final ball, Chand batted till the final over, amid a massive middle order collapse and scored 121(150) before getting out at 49.4, when India needed 5 runs to win. Roosh Kalaria scored a four to level the score, but the match ended in a thrilling tie. 

3. India vs Sri Lanka, 2018 - 304/3

Captain Prabhsimran Singh won the toss and decided to bat first in Mirpur and the opening duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Anuj Rawat did not disappoint, as they added 121 runs in 25 overs for the first wicket, before Rawat got out for 57(79), while Jaiswal went on to score 85(113), with the help of 8 fours and a six. Devdutt Padikkal chipped in with 31(43) before captain Prabhsimran and Ayush Badoni went berserk for the 4th wicket stand of 110*(55).

Prabhsimran scored 65*(37) with three fours and four sixes, while Badoni got 52(28), with two fours and five sixes, to take the team to 304/3. Harsh Tyagi took 6/38 in the second innings, and India won the match by 144 runs

2. India vs Pakistan, 2014 - 314/8

During the 2014 final in Sharjah, upon being asked to bat first, India got a decent start through Ankush Bains' 47(34), which was capitalised by captain Vijay Zol, who scored 100(120), with 7 fours and two sixes, alongside Sanju Samson's 100(87), with the help of 8 fours and four sixes to his name. The centurion duo added 180(173) for the third wicket and took the score to 314/8.

India went on to win the match, thanks to Kuldeep Yadav's 3/72, alongside three others scalping two wickets each, and the record for the highest total remained untouched for over a decade.

1. Pakistan vs India, 2025 - 347/8

Having been asked to bat first on the day, Pakistan's charge for the title was led by opener Sameer Minhas, who scored a brilliant 172(113), with the help of 17 fours and nine sixes in his knock. He was complemented with Ahmed Hussain's 56(72), as they built a 137-run stand for the third wicket. At one stage, with 12.3 overs left, they were cruising towards a 375 total, but a mini-collapse in the final 10 overs restricted them to 347/8, which is still the record total in this competition's final.
