With dynamism and power, the Pakistan's batting lineup has been on the rise ever since they managed to achieve bigger totals in T20I cricket. With the addition of some youngsters in the side, the green team have been putting up some massive scores on the board.
In recent times, they have consistently achieved scores of 200 or more and won regularly, particularly in the 20-over format, as their batting has demonstrated great intent. Therefore, in this article, we will have a look at Pakistan's highest scores in T20I cricket.
5) 206/5 vs South Africa, Centurion, 2024
At number 5 on this list is Pakistan's remarkable batting effort of 206 for 5 against South Africa in 2024, in Centurion. It was the second T20I of the series where Pakistan batted first, and on the back of youngster Saim Ayub's 98 not out, they went on to achieve 206 for the loss of 5 wickets after the end of their 20 overs, as South Africa handsomely chased the score down courtesy of Reeza Hendricks' 117, with 3 deliveries and seven wickets to spare.
It was a shocking defeat for the Pakistan side, who couldn't defend the score despite putting up a massive score. Despite the loss, Ayub's 98 not out remains one of his finest innings, as he only took 57 deliveries with 11 boundaries and 5 maximums in his knock against the strong Proteas bowling lineup.
3) 207 vs UAE, Sharjah, 2025*
Now, moving to the joint number 3 spot in this list is Pakistan's 207, which came recently in the ongoing T20I tri-series against the UAE (United Arab Emirates) in Sharjah. The second T20I of the series saw Pakistan getting bowled out, but not before putting up a challenging 207 runs on the board after the end of their 20 overs. Again, the star of the show was Saim Ayub, who scored a brilliant 69 off 38 deliveries with 4 sixes and 7 fours, as Hasan Nawaz put up another decent fight with 36 off 26 deliveries.
In the end, Pakistan were ahead in the game, halting UAE (United Arab Emirates) at just 176 for 8 after the conclusion of the innings, as Pakistan secured crucial points in the series after winning by 31 runs in Sharjah. With the win, this game is always remembered for how many sixes Pakistan hit during the innings, which accounts for a total of 13 during their juggernaut.
3) 207/1 vs New Zealand, Auckland, 2025
Another game where Pakistan achieved a score of 207 was against New Zealand in March 2025 at Eden Park in Auckland. New Zealand put up a daunting 204 runs on the board in the first innings after getting bowled out in 19.5 overs, as 205 always looked challenging on this surface. However, it was not to be for the Pakistani batting lineup, as Mohammad Haris (41) and Hasan Nawaz (105 not out off just 45 balls with 10 boundaries and 7 maximums) stole the show, as Pakistan chased the score down in just 16 overs with nine wickets to spare, where skipper Salman Ali Agha remained unbeaten on 51 not out, taking his side home comfortably with four overs to spare.
This was not just a win but a statement by the young Pakistan side, as they proved that backing them is a great achievement, especially in the 20-over format. The Kiwi bowlers had no answers to Pakistani batters, who scored plenty of maximums during their impressive show.
2) 208/3 vs West Indies, Karachi, 2021
Now, the second-highest score by Pakistan in T20I cricket, 208, came against the West Indies in Karachi back in 2021. It was the 3rd T20I series where West Indies batted first and scored 207 for the loss of three wickets after their 20 overs. Chasing 208 for victory, Pakistan did the unthinkable in just 18.5 overs. The opening duo of Mohammad Rizwan and skipper Babar Azam stole the limelight. Rizwan, who batted 45 deliveries for his 87 with three maximums, was very well supported by his skipper, who consumed 53 deliveries for his 79, which included two maximums.
As Pakistan only lost three wickets during their chase, they won with seven wickets and as many deliveries to spare, as the West Indies couldn't believe what they saw. Thanks to this wonderful effort, Pakistan sealed the T20I series 3-0 as they displayed proper batting class courtesy of their stylish, legendary duo.
1) 232/6 vs England, Nottingham, 2021
Now, sitting comfortably at the top is Pakistan's 232 for 6, which came against England at Nottingham in 2021. It was the first T20I of the series, where the visiting Pakistan side had to bat first. They put up a mammoth 232 for the loss of six wickets, with the same duo, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, doing what they had to.
Rizwan, who played 41 deliveries, scored 63 with eight boundaries and a maximum, while Azam, the skipper, scored 85 in just 49 balls with eight fours and three sixes, as Pakistan gave the home side England a target that they couldn't even imagine they would chase. Losing just six wickets on the way, there were some handy contributions, especially from Fakhar Zaman, who scored 26 off eight deliveries as a cameo, as well as Mohammad Hafeez with 24 coming off 10, alongside Sohaib Maqsood's 19 off 7, as Pakistan struck runs at a rate of around 11.60.
Chasing 233 for victory, England folded for 201 despite Liam Livingstone's 103 off 43 balls, as Pakistan claimed a comfortable victory by 31 runs, where Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan grabbed three wickets apiece during England's batting innings. In the years to come, this remains Pakistan's best-ever batting effort in T20I cricket, as they are yet to reach near this magnificent score since this achievement.
