5. Mohammad Rizwan - 244 Innings

The right-handed batter took 244 innings to score his 8,000 runs in T20 Cricket. In the match, he achieved the 8,000-run mark, Rizwan captained Pakistan and scored 74, but couldn't help his side as they lost the game by 11 runs against Proteas.

 Rizwan has been one of the most prolific run-getters in the format, as he currently captains his Multan Sultan side in the Pakistan Super League. At number four on this list is India's legendary batter, Virat Kohli, who achieved his 8,000-run against Kolkata Knight Riders in Bengaluru back in the year 2019, which was his 243rd game. Kohli made his T20 debut in the year 2007 and took 12 years to achieve his 8,000 runs.

The right-handed batter, who has played for India, Delhi, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, has played in a total of 410 T20 matches, where he has scored 13,391 runs at an average of 41.97, while striking at 134.52. He's managed to score 104 half-centuries to go along with his nine centuries in the shortest format.

Babar, who plays for Pakistan and the Peshawar Zalmi side in the Pakistan Super League, achieved the landmark of 8,000 runs in the year 2022, playing against England in Karachi.

Azam made his debut in the year 2012 and took less than 10 years to get his 8,000 runs in 218 innings. As for Azam, he has been terrific in the format, as in 308 innings, he has 11,314 runs at an average of 43.18, where his strike rate is 129.34. Moreover, adding to this, he has 11 hundreds and 93 half-centuries to his name as well.

1. Chris Gayle - 213 Innings
