The modern-day batting icon also scores his runs swiftly against them, and his strike rate of 69.03 amounts to highest among all batters with more than 400 runs in India vs Bangladesh Tests. The legendary Indian batter has plundered two match-winning hundreds, both at home and as captain, including a match-win double ton at Hyderabad in February 2017.

Virat Kohli also punched out a swift 136 against Bangladesh during the historic Pink-Ball Test match of November 2019 at Eden Gardens, where his 20th ton consigned the visitors to a defeat by an innings and 46 runs.

The seasoned Indian batter has notched up six fifty-plus scores, including a match-winning century at Chattogram, and holds a prolific average of 78 and a batting strike rate of 57.63.

Notably, Cheteshwar Pujara tallied nearly half of his Bangladesh aggregate in a single two-match Test series back in December 2022, where he logged 222 runs from four innings in a series-winning cause for Team India.

Former Indian cricketer and ex-coach Rahul Dravid hauled 560 runs from the 10 innings of seven Test matches against Bangladesh between the years 2000 and 2010. He glittered his red-ball career against them with three match-winning hundreds, all in away Tests. One of Dravid’s most defining innings remains the 160 he whacked at Chattogram from 304 balls, which required his occupancy at the crease for over six hours.

The legendary batter also mounted scores of 129 in 2007 and 111* in 2010, both at Mirpur for the travelling Indian bunch. Rahul Dravid maintained an astonishing batting average of 70 against Bangladesh, which was significantly higher than his career average of 52.31.

Seasoned batter Mushfiqur Rahim has minted the highest number of runs among all Bangladesh cricketers against India in Tests. With 604 runs from eight matches at an imperial average of 43.14, he leads second-placed Mohammad Ashraful by over 200 runs. The wicketkeeper-batter has cracked two centuries and an additional two fifty-plus scores against Team India, which includes a fighting 127 from 262 balls at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi Stadium from February 2017.

Back when Mushfiqur Rahim was 22 years old in January 2010, he belted 101 at a strike rate of nearly 90 against the likes of express pacemen Zaheer Khan, Sreesanth and Ishant Sharma.
