West Indies visit South Africa to challenge the hosts in a two-Test series that gets underway today. Led by Kraigg Brathwaite the Windies are coming off a 1-0 series win over Zimbabwe after being thrashed Down Under by Australia last year.

Speaking on the eve of the Test, Brathwaite acknowledged that conditions will be tough in South Africa and won't be anything like the Zimbabwe series.

West Indies have a poor record in South Africa, losing 12 of their last 15 Tests, having won just one, which came back in 2007.

Here's what Brathwaite said

“It won’t be easy, South Africa are a tough team at home, but we are looking forward to playing some hard days of test cricket,"

It is important we take control of every hour, and not look at the big picture, just go from session to session.”

"Brathwaite, one of the leading openers in world cricket stated that West Indies' plan will be to bowl with discipline on wickets that offer support, and back batters to come good as a unit."

The second Test will begin on March 8, and will be followed by a three-match ODI and T20I series.
