Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim were once one of the primary pillars of the Pakistan Cricket Team, but the duo has been out of favour lately. In 2020, Amir retired himself from international cricket due to internal politics, whereas Wasim has unofficially become a free agent of late.

The Pakistan speedster and the spin-bowling all-rounder have repeatedly spoken about the internal politics on public forums. One such incident happened recently on Pakistan's famous talk show - Hasna Mana Hai.

Watch: Imad Wasim make fun of Zaka Ashraf

The Karachi Kings captain made a sarcastic statement while talking about the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)'s interim chief, Zaka Ashraf, when the host asked whether they were expecting a Pakistan call-up after injuries caused in the national team in the Asia Cup 2023.

Answering that query, Wasim sarcastically said we (Amir & I) had changed our phone numbers before the PCB chief could contact us (laughs).

Notably, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf got injured during the Super-4 clash against India, after which Zaman Khan and Shahnawaz Dahani were included in the squad. Meanwhile, after Naseem got ruled out of the ICC World Cup 2023, Hasan Ali made a wildcard comeback to the 15-men unit.

The Babar Azam-led side began their World Cup campaign with a victory against Netherlands on Friday. They will next face arch-rivals Sri Lanka at Hyderabad on coming Tuesday.
