With the advent of T20 cricket, doubts have been raised about the sustainability of one-day and Test cricket. While Test remains the pinnacle of the sport, ODI remains a grey area for many. For example, former Indian captain and legend Sachin Tendulkar once suggested bringing down a 50-over match to 40 overs, aside from saying that cricket between the 15th-40th over has become dull.

However, Tendulkar's former teammate and good friend Ajay Jadeja has an interesting take on his idea and said the problems with ODI are gone now.

This remark came in after Australia won the third-ODI series' second match against India in under 37 overs. India were bundled out for 117 in just 26 overs, while Australia took only 11 overs to chase their target and level the series 1-1.

Speaking to Cricbuzz, Jadeja took a dig at the Indian team for not even lasting 40 overs, explaining how they have taken Tendulkar's opinion seriously.

Here's what Jadeja said

"The master has made his statement, there are no doubts on that. But the thing is those who have played have accepted that. They have stopped that game between the 15th and 40th overs. They are not even going till there. All the problems that we had with predictability, boring, they are all gone now,

"Tendulkar sahab said that 15-40 over period is getting boring, these guys said we won't even play until the 40th over."

The series decider between India and Australia will be played tomorrow in Chennai, with a threat of rain looming over.
