It was a blistering start for the Mumbai Indians (MI) when they came out to chase the daunting target of 215 against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Mohali's IS Bindra Stadium. After the early loss of skipper Rohit Sharma in the first over, opener Ishan Kishan took the onus on himself to keep the scoreboard ticking and later, it was Suryakumar Yadav as both of them did a phenomenal job to help his side finish the match inside 19 overs.

While Ishan played a sensational knock of 75 runs, Surya contributed with 66 runs and later spoke about his mindset during the chase. The right-hander revealed that he doesn't necessarily target any bowler unless the last three overs are remaining in the game.

Moreover, SKY added that he and Ishan reversed their role for this game because of the fact that he himself isn't a power-hitter as his basic instinct is to time the ball and find the gaps.

"Till now I haven't thought about it [whom to target] unless the last 3 overs are going on. I had to back my strength and had to bat at a similar strike rate as Ishan to bring the game close in the end.

"We reversed our role tonight. I actually don't have that power game. I like to time the ball, hit the ball in the gaps, play the field and that's what I did today and I really feel the way things went, I enjoyed batting with Ishan and really happy that partnership ended up in a winning cause."

Mumbai claimed a six-wicket victory over Punjab and now, their next target will be Chennai Super Kings when they meet them on 6th May.
