Legendary Indian cricketer Virat Kohli met up with former Australian skipper and current Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting and his son Fletcher William Ponting on the eve of the RCB v DC fixture, which is set to take place at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday afternoon.

During the meeting, Virat and Ponting were seen sharing a laugh, while the former's little son looked with beaming eyes at the legendary Indian superstar.

The Delhi Capitals' social media handles posted the video of the same with the caption:

"Jab Ricky Met Kohli, Extended Cameo: Ricky Jr," wrote DC in the caption of the adorable clip.


Later, Ricky turned into a bowler as he proceeded to give some throwdowns to his son during a net session organized by the Capitals.

Meanwhile, this will be a very important match for both sides as they aim to pull back the momentum they have lost in the first two weeks of the season.

Especially, the Delhi Capitals, which will be desperate to break their 4-match losing streak and claim their first points in IPL 2023.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, will look to regain the momentum they'd achieved during their opening fixture against MI. Since then, the Faf du Plessis-led team has lost two in row, including a high-scoring thriller at home, where they lost on the final delivery of the innings.
