Delhi Capitals' prolific Prithvi Shaw has failed yet in the lucrative Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The young right-handed batter was dismissed on a two-ball duck, courtesy of a bullet throw from Anuj Rawat.
Earlier in the match, Rawat was brought in as an Impact Player but failed to put in his weight as a batter, scoring a 22-ball 15. However, the southpaw redeemed himself in the first over of the chase by sending Shaw back to the hut.
The 23-year-old has been having a poor time in the IPL 2023, scoring 0, 15, 0, 7 and 12 thus far. Meanwhile, he wasn't part of the Starting XI in the last few games, coming in as Impact Player in matches against Mumbai and Bangalore.
However, just like Shaw, no DC batter has contributed to Delhi's cause in this season. Apart from David Warner, no one has literally scored runs for them in the IPL 2023 so far.
Meanwhile, Warner's runs haven't been impactful either, as his runs haven't come at the desired rate.
After losing the plot in the latter half of the first innings, RCB have bombarded a bullet towards DC up front. At the time of writing, Delhi have lost four wickets after 6 overs in a chase of 175 runs.
