In the most electrifying and high-scoring encounter of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023, Quetta Gladiators swatted aside Peshawar Zalmi by 8-wickets on Wednesday, March 8th.

It was a run-fest at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, with both teams putting up a total of 483 runs together. Peshawar Zalmi batted first and amassed 240 runs, but Quetta Gladiators chased it down in just 18.2 overs to seal the match.

Babar Azam and Saim Ayub were in sensational form, dispatching the Quetta Gladiators' bowlers to all parts of the ground. Babar was particularly impressive, notching up a magnificent 115 runs off just 65 deliveries, while Saim smacked a blistering 74 runs off only 34 balls.

However, both these innings were overshadowed by Jason Roy's sensational and match-winning knock of 145 runs from just 63 balls. His aggressive knock was laced with 20 boundaries and five maximums, leading his team to victory.

Jason Roy received timely support from Martin Guptill, who scored a quickfire 21 runs off eight balls, and Mohammad Hafeez, who smashed 41 runs off just 18 deliveries, including six boundaries and two sixes.
