Sikandar Raza has been the hero for Zimbabwe over the last couple of years with his all-round performance and finally got an opportunity in IPL 2023 making Zimbabwe and world cricket proud. He won Punjab Kings a game earlier this season by hitting a well-compiled fifty against LSG in a tense chase.

However, his biggest moment in the sun in IPL came in the game against CSK at Chepauk when he took three runs in the final ball of the game to seal an incredible win for Punjab Kings. He scored 13 runs off 7 balls and again kept his cool in crunch situation for his team.

Talking after the match, Sikandar Raza said that he is happy to win the game and to do it as a Zimbabwean cricketer is even better. He also said that he does not know what was happening before the last over and reckoned that it was about retiring someone.

"Happy to win the game and to win it from my country was great to see. I don't know what was happening. Maybe retiring someone need to find out,"

He added that everyone contributed their bit and the Livingstone hitting against Tushar Deshpande changed the game. He also mentioned that they ran like hell to win the game on the last ball. Raza also accepted that he struggled to hit boundaries but did his bit to win the game.

"That's the beauty of franchise cricket and needed to create a impact and Shahrukh did his bit and Jitesh. We won by running like hell. I think that over Livingstone changed the game in that over and we could never look back. Jitesh did his bit. I also did my bit and targeted the bigger boundary. Tried to hit 4 and 6 but was not succeeding at all."

Punjab Kings have moved to the 5th spot on the points table with this important win against CSK and will be facing MI at Mohali on 3rd of May.
