One of the most explosive players in T20 cricket, England's Tom Banton can't wait to join his teammates in the International League T20.

Banton, 24, will play for Gulf Giants in the inaugural edition of the ILT20, and the dynamic batter is raring to go and put on a show for the spectators.

Banton has plenty of experience playing in franchise cricket, having showed his skills in PSL, T20 Blast, and Abu Dhabi T10 League, and he'll hope to light up the tournament in his swashbuckling style.

“It’s really exciting. It’s been talked about now for the last few years and I am happy to be a part of this mega league, which is going to get very competitive with every player giving his best. Our first game is on the 15th and I am set to go,” Banton said.

The Gulf Giants squad also boasts the likes of Chris Lynn, James Vince, Shimron Hetmyer, and Chris Jordan. Zimbabwean legend, Andy Flower will be the head coach of the side.

Banton is well versed with the UAE conditions, having played a fair bit of games in Abu Dhabi.

Reflecting on his experience of playing in the UAE, Banton stated:

“I have spent a lot of time here so I am well aware of the conditions and the weather. The wickets are bit different as compared to what we have back in England.

I will definitely pass on my knowledge of playing here to the youngsters in the team and hopefully that will help them and all of us to put on a good show in the Gulf Giants’ jersey.”

The ILT20 League commences from January 13.
