India are set to take on Pakistan in their T20 World Cup 2022 opener on Sunday 23rd October.
The Men in Blue will be hoping for a positive start to the marquee event and a win over their arch-rivals will give them a major confidence boost.
After a dismal Asia Cup campaign, Rohit Sharma and co will be under pressure to win the showpiece event in Australia.
Meanwhile, Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has now shared his thoughts on the high-octane clash and how players like Virat Kohli could have a defining impact in big games such as India vs Pakistan.
Pant believes that players can learn from Kohli how to navigate pressure situations in games like these. Kohli has proven pedigree of heading remarkable chases throughout his career and his ability to rotate striker and keep the scoreboard ticking can prove to be priceless in adverse circumstances when power hitting is not the solution.
Kohli has managed to hit a purple patch coming into the World Cup and all eyes will be on the batting extraordinaire in Australia. He will be a key player for Team India as they embark on their quest for World Cup glory later this week.
Rishabh Pant said, as quoted by Hindustan Times:
"He (Kohli) can actually teach you how to go through situations, which might help you in your cricket journey going forward, so it is nice batting with him as always. It’s good to have someone with a lot of experience batting with you because he can tell you how to take the game on and how to maintain that run-a-ball pressure kind of thing."
