India's batting in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022 has revolved around Virat Kohli and Surya Kumar Yadav. With 246 and 225 runs, respectively, Kohli and Yadav are placed in the top three of the most run-getter charts.

KL Rahul has managed to score two fifties, but they, too, have been unlike his fluent self. One of the main worries for Team India is the form of skipper Rohit Sharma, who has failed to get going despite getting starts.

However, former India international Mohammad Kaif believes that Sharma will be India's X-factor heading into the crucial knockout game against England on Thursday.

In an interaction with Sportskeeda, Kaif placed Sharma ahead of the likes of in-form Kohli and Yadav.

"His (Rohit) bat has not been talking much but I think that he is a big-match player. He likes playing against England and I will not be surprised at all if he scores big in that semi-final. He has that X-Factor, whenever there is pressure, he plays a match-winning knock.

The next match is the biggest one for Rohit Sharma as captain, he has had a great record since taking over as T20 captain. The value he has brought in with his captaincy is immense."

During India's practice session on Tuesday, Sharma received an injury scare in the nets but was deemed fit later on.
