India's star wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant is yet to feature in the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2022. The Indian management has travelled to Australia with two keepers, so far only Dinesh Karthik has been graced the opportunity to feature in the playing XI.

India's batting coach Vikrant Rathour has revealed that Pant might be able to feature in the squad at any time in the tournament.

What the batting coach said

"Rishabh Pant is an extremely good batter. We all know what he is capable of. The conversation with him is to just be ready for any chance that comes his way."

Among the batting lineup concerns, KL Rahul hasn't been in the best of forms. Speculations were raised as to whether Pant should replace KL to which Rathod replied.

"We are not going to play Pant in place of KL, he will open for India"

India is all set to face South Africa in their next match at the Optus Stadium, Perth. If India beat the Proteas they will have a worthwhile chance at making a place in the semis.
