Sussex County Cricket Club (SCCC) have signed Aristides Karvelas on a permanent deal. Karvelas joined the County on a short-term deal in August. The Greece international played a crucial role in Sussex's semi-final run in the Royal London Cup 2022.

The 28-year-old made a prompt impact in his debut season, finishing as the club's highest wicket-taker in the RLC 2022 with 20 scalps, coming at an air-tight economy of 5.40.

However, in two County Championship Division Two games the paceman has just four wickets.

The bowler expressed his delight over signing with Sussex and looks forward to winning silverware.

Karvelas on new deal

"It is a great honour to sign this contract. I’m really looking forward to continuing my journey with Sussex and am excited to see what the future holds.

I’m grateful for the continued support from the players, coaches, staff and supporters.”

Karvelas has played only one T20I for Greece while making 17 First-Class and 22 List-A appearances, picking up 85 wickets across formats.
