Former India cricketer Suresh Raina backed team India after their gut-wrenching semi-final exit from the ongoing T20 World Cup and suggested them to opt for a break and spend some time with family.
Team India suffered yet another semifinal exit in the ICC tournaments as England came out all guns blazing and swatted aside the Rohit Sharma-led side by 10 wickets at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday.
Suresh Raina, a member of the 2011 World Cup winning squad, showered praise on the Indian contingent for giving their best in the showpiece event, adding he is hopeful of the Men in Blue making a strong comeback.
Here's what Raina wrote in his tweet
"Heart-breaking loss for the team but proud of the boys, and the Bharat Army, for giving it their all! I’m positive we’ll bounce back soon, but first, a well-deserved break or vacation and time with the family."
Team India is set to tour New Zealand for two white-ball series, starting November 18. All the players, who have been selected for the New Zealand tour, will jet off to Auckland while the remaining team will travel back to India.
India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya will lead the T20I team in New Zealand with Rishabh Pant acting as his chief deputy, while senior batter Shikhar Dhawan has been given the captaincy duties of the ODI team.
