Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan achieved a new milestone when the all-rounder took the field against Ireland in the ongoing second T20I in Chattogram. Hasan, who sat on 131 T20I wickets prior to the encounter, claimed his second five-wicket haul and became the leading wicket-taker in T20Is surpassing New Zealand's Tim Southee (134).

The all-rounder now has 136 wickets from 114 internationals, with two fifers and five four-fers.

Afghanistan's Rashid Khan is a close third with 129, Southee's teammate Ish Sodhi comes in at four with 107, and the Sri Lankan legend completing the top five with 107.
