India capitulated Australia in the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 as the perilous spin-bowling twain of Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin were hot as fire on Day 3 of the match.

While Australia sneaked in with a minor advantage after the first innings, Jadeja and Ashwin rolled their magic fingers as their combined ten-wicket haul bundled out the visitors for 113 runs in the second innings.

Albeit not having an easy chasing history in the recent past, India rode their way to the target easily losing four wickets in the process.

Speaking at the post-match interview, India skipper Rohit Sharma emphasised on the need for batters to do something out of the routine on a pitch like Delhi's.

While Rohit sang praises of Jadeja and Ashwin's bowling performance in the last innings, he made it a point to mention about the partnerships between Virat Kohli and Jadeja, and Axar Patel and Ashwin when asked about the match-changing moments.

Here's what Rohit said:

"Fantastic result for us. Looking at how things were yesterday, the way we came back and finished our job was great. Even if we were just one run behind, I felt we were trailing because we had to bat last,

"I think the bowlers were fantastic, to take 9 wickets today morning is commendable. And then we finished the job with the bat. On a pitch like this, people need to do something different. We were prepared for them coming out and playing shots. Our idea was to not panic and just hit the right areas, waiting for the mistake to happen and that's exactly what happened,

"There are lot of moments (game-changing) across four innings, but I thought the partnership between Jadeja and Virat, and then Axar-Ash was brilliant. I think that's a big help because of the balance we have created for ourselves."

India will head to Indore with a 2-0 lead in the ongoing four-match series
