Saurashtra captain Jaydev Unadkat was all praise for his side as they tormented Bengal in the final of the Ranji Trophy 2022-23, winning the clash by nine wickets.

Saurashtra could not have asked for a better game as a complete performance from their batters and bowlers made the finale a one-sided affair.

As Unadkat rightly pointed, the feature of Saurashtra's campaign was a combined effort from every individual, ergo making it possible for the team to place their second Ranji title in the cabinet.

Here's what Unadkat said

"Championships aren't won by one game. It's a long season. We put in a lot of work... won the Vijay Hazare. The guys have a lot of stability… Everyone stood up when the team needed. It's not just about a couple of guys. You try to be smart in preparations... We worked on areas where we had to. I love playing for Saurashtra; it's so close to my heart. I feel an adrenaline rush."

Interestingly, Saurashtra are now the proud holders of two inter-state titles, attaining Vijay Hazare and Ranji laurels in a season. Meanwhile, Unadkat will likely join the Indian team for the remainder of Australia Tests.
