On Sunday, Rinku Singh emerged as a hero for Kolkata Knight Riders, sealing a miraculous victory for them from an improbable position. The hard-hitting batter from Uttar Pradesh did the unthinkable by smashing five consecutive sixes off Yash Dayal in the final over when his side needed 29 runs to win.
After his memorable knock, Rinku Singh went on to name legendary Indian middle-order batter Suresh Raina as his batting idol.
Speaking to India Today, Singh stated that he adores Raina the most because of his incredible fielding and finishing skills.

The swashbuckling southpaw also opened up on his heart-warming gesture, as he texted Dayal, encouraging him after the game concluded.

"I texted Yash after the game, saying it happens in cricket, you did really well last year, I just tried to motivate him a little".
