After registering a 2-0 series win against South Africa on home soil, Australia are gearing up for the upcoming four-match Test series against India

Considering the games are scheduled in India, the Aussies are currently searching for a formidable spin bowling unit they will field on the tour.

Meanwhile, Australian captain Pat Cummins has confirmed that experienced left-arm spinner Ashton Agar will play the India Tests.

Speaking to the reporters, Cummins also heaped praise on Agar for his performance in the Sydney Test despite no substantial assistance from the SCG deck.

Here's what Cummins stated

"I'm sure Ash will be there. Left-arm orthodox, he'll absolutely be there,

"It wasn't an audition at all. The wicket was a lot different to India. It wasn't really spinning out of the middle of the wicket. We thought the wicket was going to spin more than it did. I thought he [Agar] did really well."

Despite being an asset for Australia in white-ball cricket, Agar has only five Tests to his name, scalping nine wickets at a mediocre average of 52. Although the 29-year-old asked tough questions to the Proteas batters, he went wicketless in the Sydney Test.

Therefore, if he is picked for the India tour, it will be interesting to see if he revives his red-ball career on India's spin-friendly tracks.
