PAK vs ENG 2022 | Imam-ul-Haq crosses 1000 Test runs

One of the mainstays of Pakistan's Test batting, Imam-ul-Haq achieved a career milestone of 1,000 Test runs while batting in the first Test against England at Rawalpindi. 

Haq, currently batting on 48*, has added 100 runs with Abdullah Shafique in the opening stand in Pakistan's reply to England's mammoth first-innings score of 657.

In 2022 alone, Haq scored 488 Test runs at an average of 54.22, including two tons and one fifty.

Overall, in 17 Tests, the stylish batter has managed 1,016 runs with two hundreds and four half-centuries. 

The opener made his Test debut in 2018. Since then, he has managed to establish himself as a dependable top-order batter for Pakistan's red-ball side. His breakthrough series came against Australia in March, where the Lahore-born slammed twin hundreds in the first Test in Rawalpindi. 

Haq has also represented Pakistan in 54 ODIs and 2 T20Is amassing 2,549 runs combined with nine century and 14 fifties.
