Surya Kumar Yadav hogged headlines throughout 2022 and continues to grow in stature with his performances in T20 cricket for India. A lot of expectations are riding on the Mumbai-born batter, already hailed as India's batting superstar following his exploits in the T20 World Cup 2022 and T20Is in New Zealand.

Former Australian fast bowler Brett Lee, speaking on his YouTube channel, said that Yadav would win India a World Cup title in the coming years. A two-time World Cup winner with Australia, Lee explained that Yadav's fearlessness and ability to play shots against any opposition is like a chess grandmaster.

Yadav finishes 2022 with 1,164 T20I runs at an average of 46.6 and a phenomenal strike-rate of 187.4.

Here's what Lee said

"SKY was one of the highlights for me at the T20 World Cup. He continues to bat with the same attitude. Not only will he score big runs but he will also someday win a World Cup for Team India. I love watching him play.

My advice to SKY would be… no advice. Keep doing what you are doing, don't change, don't complicate things, back yourself."

Lee further stated that the pair of coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma believe in backing players, and this would help a player evolve more.
