One-hand, one-bounce: Adam Zampa suggests rule change after bizarre six in the BBL

Cricket's only roof-covered ground Marvel Stadium in Melbourne has been subject to controversies in the past and nothing new has happened this time. During the match between Melbourne Renegades and Melbourne Stars, the ball slammed the roof not once but twice as the batters were awarded six runs on both occasions.

However, this has not gone down well with many including Australian spinner and Stars' skipper Adam Zampa who believes that the rule needs a tweak in order to be more adaptable in these covered stadiums.

He humorously commented that the "one-hand, one-bounce" rule that is generally used in the backyard cricket should be brought in.

"Yeah, why not?"

Further, talking about it seriously he wanted some changes like extending the height of the roof as the bowler would be getting the wicket in normal circumstances.

"Honestly, it's a little bit bizarre that they call it a six when the ball goes straight up in the air. As a bowler you expect that deceive a batsman and at least be in with a chance of getting a wicket. Maybe build the roof a bit higher."

Zampa's Stars were defeated by their counterparts Renegades in a close encounter where they lost the game by a margin of 6 runs.
