'Next Time When We Come To Bangladesh...' - Harmanpreet Kaur Hits Back At Poor Umpiring

Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur expressed her disappointment with the poor umpiring decisions after a thrilling tie in the third ODI against Bangladesh denied a series win to the Women in Blue.

The third ODI was marred with questionable umpiring decisions during India's run-chase of 226.

Skipper Kaur was at the receiving end after she was adjudged leg-before-wicket to a delivery she attempted to sweep. She thought that the ball had hit her bat, and was clearly disgusted to see the umpire raise his finger, and eventually went on to smash her bat with the stumps.

Amanjot Kaur too was a victim of some poor decision making. As a result, the Indian Women were knocked over for 225 in the final over of their innings. Harmanpreet didn't hold back at the post-match presentation as she said:

"The kind of umpiring that was happening we were very surprised - the next time we come to Bangladesh we will make sure we have to deal with this type of umpiring & prepare ourselves".

The tied ODI means India Women will return home without a series win in this format. The Harmanpreet-led unit did wrap up the T20I series in the first two games but were handed a shock four-wicket defeat in the dead-rubber.

Bangladesh continued with the momentum in the 1st ODI as they beat India by 40 runs in a rain-affected fixture before the Women in Blue stormed back to register a comprehensive 108-run victory.

Speaking of the third ODI, opener Smriti Mandhana (59 off 65) and Harleen Deol (77 off 108) led the way with the bat, but it didn't prove to be enough as the rest of the batting unit folded like 9 pins.
