The veteran all-rounder Moeen Ali has put all speculations to rest with the decision to ply his trade in International League T20 (ILT20), amid its overlap with SA T20 League.

Both the leagues are slated to be played concurrently during the January-February window in 2023. Ahead of this announcement, many had cast doubts regarding the availability of Ali, with him committing to feature in both leagues.

Last month, Sharjah Warriors snapped up the services of Ali for the ILT20. On the flip side, Joburg Super Kings picked him as one of the five direct signings for SA T20.

Furthermore, the 35-year-old had already chosen Warriors as his primary destination, after being caught in a conundrum.

The latest video tweet by Super Kings has confirmed the development of Ali skipping the SA T20 League and giving his 100% for the Warriors in the ILT20 as well.

What Moeen Ali said

"A message for the Super Kings family, that I certainly I will not be representing the franchise in the SA T20 League in January. The things never really panned out and I will have to miss out on that tournament.

"I'm looking forward to the future representing Super Kings franchise in India and South Africa."
