After getting bamboozled by the spin class of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, the Australian side are having a hard time on the Indian shores. They have been finding it tough to face the turning deliveries as playing scoring shots has been a challenge.

Moreover, they have been playing way too many sweeps and reverse sweeps which led to them losing their wickets to some straighter balls. However, now former Aussie legend Michael Hussey has pointed out the major reason behind their downfall.

According to Mr Cricket, playing the T20 format has caused the batters to play too many fancy shots often losing their wicket on the way. He further added that these are not the right conditions to try these things.

"Yes, probably. I mean we are seeing it a lot more in those short form games. We are seeing ramps and all kinds of different shots, which we would never have seen, 10-15 years ago. You know, that's a fair comment,"

"It's about when you choose. It is a good shot to have in your armory, but it is about playing it at the right time against the right type of bowler in the right conditions and I don't think they got that right."

The Australian side have been hampered by a plethora of injuries as Josh Hazlewood and David Warner have returned home whereas Cameron Green and Mitchell Starc will return for the next game that will be played from 1st March in Indore.
