Following their humiliating defeat in Nagpur, Australia had another disastrous outing in the Delhi Test, succumbing to a six-wicket defeat from India

Australian batters' inability to tackle the Indian spinners led to their debacle for the second consecutive time in the series.

As the visiting batters look clueless versus quality spin, legendary former Australian opener Matthew Hayden has come forward to help his countrymen.

Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, the swashbuckling southpaw expressed his eagerness to assist the Australian batters in fine-tuning their spin-playing prowess.

Here's what Hayden stated

"One hundred per cent, at any time of the day or night, it is a given that myself - and I’m sure I speak for anyone else that I represent that would have that kind of influence - would 100 per cent be in. Any time I have been asked to do anything I’ve always said yes at any time of day."

Hayden, who holds the record for most Test runs for Australia in India, explained the primary reason behind the visiting batters' never-ending issues against the Indian spin unit.

In his assessment, the 51-year-old slammed the Australian batters for not trusting their defence enough and overusing expansive sweeps and reverse sweeps on a turning track.

Meanwhile, the third Test between the two teams, a must-win for the visitors to avoid series defeat, starts in Indore on March 1.
