India confirmed their place in the semi-finals of the ongoing ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023 after beating Ireland by five runs via the DLS method last evening. Set up by Smriti Mandhana's 87, India needed to defend 155, as rain played spoilsport in Ireland's chase.

Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur sounded excited about moving into the semis. Speaking at the post-match ceremony, Kaur said that Team India would give their all in the knockout stage.

Here's what Kaur said

"It means a lot; we are working a lot and want to do well whenever we get the opportunity. Getting into the semis is great, and we will give our 100%. We always enjoy our matches against them. It will be a do or die, and we want to play good cricket."

She added that India must be more proactive and curb their dot-ball percentage in knockout matches.

During the match, Kaur, who played her 150th T20I, also became the third cricketer from India to amass 3,000 runs after Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

India qualified for the semis by defeating Pakistan, West Indies and Ireland in the group stage. The Women in Blue will likely take on defending champions Australia in the semifinal on Thursday unless Pakistan beat England by a massive margin today.
