Legendary former India batter Virender Sehwag has lavished praise on Mohammad Haris for his impressive performance against South Africa on Thursday.

In a must-win game of the T20 World Cup 2022, Pakistan batted first and lost Mohammad Rizwan early. However, the youngster Mohammad Haris unleashed his aggressive intent to amass 28 off 11, laced with three sixes and two fours.

The highlight of Haris' innings was his flick and a pull off Kagiso Rabada, along with a terrific scoop shot against Anrich Nortje, with all going straight into the stands.

Sehwag thinks Haris' knock was commendable, as it came against the top bowling attack on Australian pitches.

As early-acceleration has been a long-standing issue for Pakistan openers, Sehwag believes the Men in Green might replace one of Babar and Rizwan with Haris to ensure a flying start for them in the powerplay.

Here's how Sehwag lauded Haris

"The way he batted, his future is bright. He took on South Africa on Australian pitches. He might have scored 28, but they're no less than a 60,

"He could played slowly, could have scored his own runs, but the way he played, incredible. If he continues playing like this, he might force Rizwan and Babar to come down the order."

On Sunday, Pakistan will lock horns against Bangladesh in their final Super 12 fixture, which will again be a must-win game for them.
