Turning out to be one of the best power hitters in the inaugural season of the Women's Premier League, Kiran Navgire has been in the limelight for all the right reasons. The right-hander who is currently representing UP Warriorz was seen using a plain bat without sponsors in some games with 'MSD 07' inscribed on it.

The 29-year-old has now revealed the real reason behind writing Indian legend MS Dhoni's name on her bat. Kiran revealed that she wrote the name while sitting with her friends as a habit.

Moreover, according to her, this is her instinct that she always writes MS' name somewhere whenever there's a discussion related to the CSK captain. This was all due to the fact that her gear got delayed which led to her using her old bats.

“The gear from my sponsor got delayed, so I got some of my old bats from the WPL. When I practice at home in Pune, when we watch live matches or highlights, after practice we sit at the ground, knocking the bat.

“So, before coming to the WPL, I was sitting with my friends after a practice session, and we were discussing about MS Dhoni sir. I was speaking about him and instinctively wrote ‘MSD 07’ on my bat. I wrote it because whenever I talk or discuss about him, I write down his name somewhere.”

Kiran is known for her huge hits and it will be interesting to see her whenever she gets the chance to represent India in future.
