After a dispiriting performance from the South Africa's Kagiso Rabada in the recently concluded T20 World Cup, the pacer has accepted the fact that he wasn't upto the mark.

Rabada has mentioned that he was low on energy during the tournament, even after putting in his best he couldn't deliver the desired result. As a matter of fact, his performance did impact South Africa during the entire tournament as they struggled to grab wickets at crucial stages.

“I didn’t feel that great in terms of energy. I still tried my best, it just felt that the harder I tried, it just wasn’t really coming out. I’m not one to make any excuses, I wasn’t up to scratch,”

To put things in perspective, he has now called out the busy schedule as the reason for him being tired. According to the 27-year-old, a serious effort is needed to organise the workload in future.

“It is a concern with the amount of cricket that is being played nowadays and basically it needs to be managed and plans need to be made accordingly,”

Further, he has asked the management to be a little more proactive so that players do not have to suffer.

“If it’s happened twice then it is something that seriously needs to be considered. It is what I have realised and I am sure management have realised too. We need to come up with some plans, not just for me, but for all players.”

Rabada will next be seen wearing the white jersey for the Proteas in a three-match Test series against Australia.
