On Friday, promising Ireland speedster Joshua Little created history, becoming the first-ever player from his nation to bag an IPL contract.

Renowned for his ability of making the new ball talk, Little was bought by the defending champions Gujarat Titans for a hefty 4.40 Crores.

After being sold in the IPL mini-auction, Little expressed his excitement to play under Hardik Pandya.

The left-arm seamer also thanked the Titans and Cricket Ireland management for their support and seemed determined to evolve as a bowler under the supervision of Ashish Nehra.

Here's what Little stated

"I look forward to playing under Hardik Pandya within such a high-quality squad. I’m also looking forward to working with coach Ashish Nehra and would like to thank the management team at the Titans for believing in me,

"I have loved playing international cricket for Ireland – and that will always remain my priority, but to be able to learn and play in the IPL will be an incredible opportunity and thanks to Cricket Ireland for supporting me in this."

Little's addition has further boosted the Titans' seam bowling unit, studded with Mohammed Shami, Alzarri Joseph, Yash Dayal and Hardik Pandya. In 53 matches, the 23-year-old has scalped 62 wickets at an economy of 7.66.
