On Saturday, promising Indian keeper-batter Ishan Kishan etched his name in history books, as he stormed his way through a blistering 131-ball 210 in the third ODI against Bangladesh in Chattogram.

Ishan stunned the Tigers through his incredible hitting, setting the record for the quickest double ton in ODI history.

Reacting to his heroic knock, the swashbuckling southpaw revealed his intent was to bat aggressively from the word go and explained how Virat Kohli calmed him when he was planning to achieve the 200-run landmark with a glory shot.

Kishan, who plays for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, even claimed that he could've slammed a triple ton had he carried the bat.

Here's what Ishan stated

"The wicket was too good to bat on. My intent was very clear - if the ball is there, I'll go for it. Still feel when I got out - 15 overs were left. Could've scored 300 also,

"Batting with Virat bhai, he has such good sense of the game. He was calming me down when I was in my 90s. I wanted to bring it up with a six, but he said to get it in singles as it's your first."

Ishan, alongside Virat Kohli, also set the record for the highest partnership for any wicket against Bangladesh in ODIs.
