Ishaan Kishan Completes 4000 Runs In T20 During MI's Win Against SRH

Ishan Kishan, the 24-year-old cricketer, achieved a significant milestone during his team's Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match for the Mumbai Indians (MI) against the Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) in Hyderabad. He scored 38 runs off 31 balls, which included three fours and two sixes, at a strike rate of 122.58. 

This match marked an important moment for him as he became a part of the elite group of players who have scored over 4,000 runs in the Twenty20 (T20) format.


In his T20 career spanning 156 matches, Ishan Kishan has scored 4,007 runs, maintaining an average of 28.82 and a strike rate of 130.43. He has recorded three centuries and 22 half-centuries in this format, with a highest score of 113 not out. 

His performances have earned him a place in the Indian national team, and he has played 27 T20 Internationals (T20Is) for India, scoring 653 runs at an average of 25.11 and a strike rate of 122.74. He has four half-centuries in the T20I format, with the highest score of 89.

Kishan's achievements place him among the top Indian run-scorers in the T20I format, with Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, and Suryakumar Yadav being the only players ahead of him. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), he has played 80 matches and scored 2,039 runs at an average of 29.55 and a strike rate of 133.36. 

His contributions to MI include 13 half-centuries, with the highest score of 99.
